Beowulf (2007)

It played today on TV while I was trying to do some reading for my upcoming boards, but from what I saw I was impressed how the CGI had evolved recently. Hopkins, Malkovich, Jolie...etc, not only they look like them (even better, Hopkins looks younger) but their motion is "almost" human. It looks like a movie but where there is no technical limitation for anything: camera movement, locations, actions.... everything is possible.

Will we be witnessing a new era of movie making? will this advanced CGI make its way to be a more practical way for movie makers? instead of dealing with neurotic actors, locations, weather conditions.... they'll dictate their vision to graphic designers instead, and fine-tune the smallest detail in every scene...
I hope not...
