Polanski's The Ghost Writer

Polanski finished editing his latest film while under house arrest. The trailer looks like a regular hollywood thriller formula

But I'm still going to look for it and try to catch it on the big screen. Dan once said that Polanski is a better director when dealing with chamber cinema stories (Knife in The Water, Repulsion, The Tenant..). Even at best I don't expect Ghost Writer to be better than his noire Chinatown.

These are Dan's reviews on some of his work:

Criterion's Repulsion

Got the Criterion release of Repulsion and will have to watch it soon. Here is the end of that film:

Knife In The Water

This was Roman Polanski's first film, and it's a damned good one.

Here's a clip:

More Polanski

Here's a clip from Polanski's underrated (although nowhere near great) comedy, The Fearless Vampire Killers, or: Pardon Me, But Your Teeth Are In My Neck:

Repulsion

Still the best film of Roman Polanski's I've seen, and I've seen 9 or 10 of them. Catherine Deneuve is psychotic, but has a psycho ever been more babeolicious?

Here is a small clip from the film:

And, while I cannot embed the whole film, here's a link to it online. What think you?
